Abstract

The equipment collects dog dung at the time of excretion, and comprises a stick with a handle (1) and a sliding button (2). A stationary fork (5) is fixed to the other end of the stick, and actuation of the button swings a second fork (6), also at the other end, clear of the stationary one. A paper mat can be included, with loops on opposite sides by which it fits over the forks. The forks can be slightly bent towards each other at their free ends. Thus when close together they form a locking device, preventing the mat from sliding off them. When swung open they can hold the mat horizontal and as low as possible above the ground.
