Abstract

The auxiliary regulator is for a gas pressure regulator having a supply valve with a portion sensitive to the suction exerted by the unit supplied, opening the valve further as su tion increases. In the passage between the pressure regulator and the unit supplied is a throttle section, which can be set so that when gas is being consumed at a very low rate a pressure drop occurs across it, causing a definite excess pressure in the pressure regulator. This endeavours to shut the supply valve, which is set to give a definite leak. A bypass across the throttle contains a stop valve, which is opened when the requirement for gas increases.
