Abstract

The cylinder lock which can be optionally opened or closed by a fitting key, has an internal cylinder and an external stationary cylinder fitted into a housing. The inner cylinder rotates and has several radial bores passing through this inner cylinder. The inner cylinder has also circular central bore. The lock is difficult to open by unauthorised means, and the strong key has only few sharp edges. Each radial bore (6, 7) has tumbler pi with different lengths. Behind each tumbler pin a counter pin is fitted in the bores. Between the housing and each counter pin a spring pushes the tumbler pin towards the axis of the inner cylinder (3). The central bore has key pin (9). On insertion of correct key (15) each tumbler pin is lifted a correct distance for alignment and the inner cylinder can be rotated on manual rotation of key.
