Abstract

The sun awning comprises a cloth rolling onto a roller and with a beam along the free edge parallel to the roller, while one or more extension arms are fixed to the beam at one end, and hinged at the other on the roller frame. The beam (3) has an open lengthwise channel section (7) partly covered by flanges (8) extending towards each other. A coupling device (10) slides in the channel and can be gripped between the bottom of it and the flanges, being fixed to the end of the arm (5). The device can be of L-section, an acute angle less than 90 deg. being included between its arms. There can be two such L-sections, forming mirror images of each other, and coupled together by a flexible bridge-piece.
