Abstract

A roller blind comprises a frame member 1 formed at its ends to provide inwardly-directed trunnions on which a blind roller is rotatably mounted, the frame member being adapted to be detachably secured to a supporting surface, an elastic band 10 extending between the trunnions and having connection with the blind roller such that on extension of the blind the band is twisted and tensioned and exerts a restoring force on the roller tending to rotate it and rewind the blind thereon, and a suction cup 8 or like device on the free edge of the blind for releasable engagement with a fixed surface to retain the blind in an extended condition. <IMAGE>
