Abstract

The wall or partition comprises a frame of uprights and cross-members to which panels are fitted. The uprights consists of four S-section rolled members (8), joined to each other by coupling pieces (9), and mounted between top and bottom cross-members. Members and pieces are so shaped that the panels, which have double bent edges, can be secured to them by spring wires. The cross-members can be split, with sands at intervals securing them to floor and ceiling. They can comprise two U-sections with unequal flanges, while the stand has two sides joined by a bridge with inclined edges. There are notches in the sides on opposite sides of the bridge, in which the short flanges of the U-sections are clamped. Thus pulling the bridge towards the floor or ceiling brings the cross-members into the correct positions.
