Abstract

Air conditioner comprises at least one outdoor unit (8) including an outdoor heat exchanger (9) with several coolant pipes (13) which act as condensers during cooling. There are a number of indoor units (1) equal to the number of condensers in the outdoor heat exchanger. Each indoor unit comprises a compressor (3) and an indoor heat exchanger (2) which acts as an evaporator during cooling and which is connected to one of the condensers in the outdoor heat exchanger via coolant pipes (11, 12). The appts. eliminates the unbalance of pressures fluctuations, which is prevented by varying resistance to flow of coolant in the supply and return pipes between outdoor and indoor units, to allow even flow of coolant.
