Abstract

The section is of aluminium or other lightweight material, having a hollow closed basic portion with protrusions, flanges, etc. for the fitting of seals and connectors. At the outer edge of one or both of its opposite front faces the section has a groove (4) open to the front, being situated between the front face (1) and the outer face (6). Means are provided near the groove mouth for fitting strips (12) supports etc. The groove can be formed by the wall of a rectangular basic section and a T-section flange on the latter. The means for fitting the strips etc. can consist of thin ribs extending from the groove walls.
