Abstract

A warning device for the failure of a variable DC feed voltage to electrical equipment with means to detect the generation of a voltage across a blown fuse, and with electrical isolation between the power circuit and the warning circuit, using electrooptical coupling. A phototransistor detecting the illumination of a light emitting diode may be connected through a diode to a common junction of a number of similar circuits to operate a common alarm system.
