Abstract

The nail is particularly for securing electric power sockets in place, and has a mainly cylindrical shank with a head joined onto it. Shank and head are of plastic, and there are a number of lenghtwise grooves (9) formed in the shank. It is hammered into a previously drilled hole of smaller diameter. The grooves can be parallel to the lengthwise axis, or run in a spiral. The advantage is that no insulating shield is required over the nail head.
