Abstract

The equipment is for the production of ionised water vapour as used for skin cleansing in the "Vapoderm" (RTM) beauty treatment. The steam generated is delivered to a nozzle containing a strip-type heater element. This keeps the nozzle at such a temperature that there is no risk of the patient being splashed by drops of condensate during treatment. In a tank distilled water is heated to 100 deg.C. Strip-type heater element capacity is approx 18 watt, and this heater is switched in parallel with the tank-heater.
