Abstract

In the treatment of peeled but raw soya beans from which the oil has not been expressed, to improve its feeding stuff props. by grinding the beans to flour at some stage in the treatment and heating either the beans or the flour and drying the treated product e.g. by spray drying, the improvement whereby the heating is carried out above 90 degrees C without taking any precautions to regulate the pH, papaine being added at 50-75 degrees in a later stage again without control of the pH.
