Abstract

The crossing is for jointless railway tracks, the sections of rail being held at the desired distance apart by bolts and filler-pieces (10,11,12). The pieces are glued (14,15) to the surfaces of the rails against which they bear. Filler material (17) can also be provided between the bolts (9) and the drillings in the rails through which they pass.
