Abstract

This precoated metal sheet has a plated metal sheet, a primer layer formed on a surface of the plated metal sheet, and an upper layer film formed on a surface of the primer layer; in which the primer layer includes a binder resin and pigment particles including a vanadium compound and a magnesium compound, and when a region of a cross section of the primer layer within 1.0 ?min the film thickness direction from an interface between the plated metal sheet and the primer layer is observed by EPMA mapping, a region in which a detected concentration of a vanadium element is less than 0.6% is not continuously present for 2.0 ?m or more in a direction perpendicular to the film thickness direction, and a region in which a detected concentration of a magnesium element is less than 3.0% is not continuously present for 2.0 ?m or more in the direction perpendicular to the film thickness direction.
