Abstract

A control unit for controlling an air conditioner includes a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine mounted to a vehicle; a compressor for refrigerant compression configured to rotate by transmission of a rotary driving force from the crankshaft; a clutch interposed between the compressor and the crankshaft, the clutch transmitting the rotary driving force of the crankshaft to the compressor; an electric generator configured to generate electricity by transmission of the rotary driving force from the crankshaft; and a fan for refrigerant and cooling configured to rotate using an electric power generated by the electric generator. The control unit is configured to perform starting of the fan and coupling of the clutch with a time difference between the starting and the coupling at operation of the air conditioner during running.
