Abstract

The present invention provides a method for producing a composite having excellent processability and capable of providing balanced improvements in fuel economy, abrasion resistance and breaking resistance. The invention also provides a rubber compound containing a composite obtained by the production method and a pneumatic tire using this compound. The invention relates to a method for producing a composite, including the steps of: (I) mixing a saponified natural rubber latex, a liquid silica dispersion and a binder having a functional group that binds to silica, to prepare a compound latex; (II) coagulating the compound latex obtained in step (I); and (III) washing the coagulum obtained in step (II) to adjust the phosphorus content of rubber to 200 ppm or less.
