Abstract

A MOLD CLEANING/CONDITIONING RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINS A MELAMINE RESIN AND AT LEAST ONE METAL SOAP-BASED RELEASE AGENT. THE COMPOSITION IS CAPABLE OF REMOVING MOLD STAINS FROM NOT ONLY THE CAVITY, RUNNER AND GATE BUT ALSO THE AIR VENT AND PARTING AREA OF A MOLD AND CONDITIONING THESE PARTS. PREFERABLY, THE COMPOSITION FURTHER CONTAINS MANNITOL AND/OR A RELEASE AGENT OTHER THAN MANNITOL AND A METAL SOAP. THE COMPOSITION IS A COMPRESSION TYPE RESIN COMPOSITION HAVING BOTH A MOLD CLEANING EFFECT AND A MOLD CONDITIONING EFFECT WHICH ELIMINATES THE NECESSITY OF CONDUCTING A MOLD CONDITIONING OPERATION AFTER A MOLD CLEANING OPERATION.
