Abstract

A PROPYLENE RESIN FILM IS COMPOSED OF A PROPYLENE-(ALPHA)-OLEFIN BLOCK COPOLYMER HAVING A PROPYLENE RESIN BLOCK AND AN ELASTOMER BLOCK OF A COPOLYMER OF PROPYLENE AND AN (ALPHA)-OLEFIN OF C2 TO C12 (EXCEPT FOR C3). THE ELASTOMER BLOCK IN THE COPOLYMER IS IN AN AMOUNT OF 5 TO 30BY WEIGHT. THE LIMITING VISCOSITY OF THE XYLENE-SOLUBLE CONTENTS IN THE PROPYLENE-(ALPHA)-OLEFIN BLOCK COPOLYMER IS IN THE RANGE OF 4.0 TO 6.0 dl/g. THE DISPERSION PARTICLES IN THE ELASTOMER BLOCK HAVE PROPERTIES THAT (1) THE ASPECT RATIO IN THE MACHINE DIRECTION (MD) IS 1 TO 3 FOR 50 TO 100OF DISPERSION PARTICLES IN THE ELASTOMER BLOCK, (2) THE ROUNDNESS IN THE MACHINE DIRECTION (MD) IS 1 TO 1.2 FOR 60 TO 98AND 1.2 TO 1.4 FOR 30OR LESS OF THE DISPERSION PARTICLES IN THE ELASTOMR BLOCK, AND (3) THE AVERAGE SIZE IS 0.2 ?m OR LESS FOR45 TO 80AND 0.4 TO 1 ?m FOR 20 TO 40OF THE DISPERSION PARTICLES IN THE ELASTOMER BLOCK.
