Description

HAIR TREATMENT APPLICATOR BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to hair treatment devices. More particularly, the present invention relates to hair treatment applicators and to a method for applying hair treatment to the hair.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE Color applicators or hair treatments are known. These hair treatment applicators allow the user to apply a hair product, such as lights. In the U.S. patent no. 6,079,420 of Musum describes a comb for the application of lights. The comb has a plurality of tips that are secured to a main structure, which is connected to a handle. The tips are arranged adjacent to each other along a straight line. The user of the comb places the treatment material in the retention areas that are arranged between each of the adjacent tips and then the user passes the tips through the hair. The comb described has the drawback of not providing a separation between the retention areas through which the hair can pass without being treated. In the US patent no. 6,142,157 of Laforcade, an applicator system is described. The applicator has a handle with a brush and a plurality of brush members extending from a first side of the brush. The brush members are arranged along the first side of the brush in parallel and perpendicular rows. The user places the hair product on the brush members and passes the applicator through a lock of hair so that the brush members transfer the hair product thereto. The described applicator has the drawback of not having a separation between the treated and untreated hair.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a hair treatment applicator that applies the treatment to a plurality of hair sections. It is another object of the present invention to provide an applicator of this type that provides a separate and distinct set of lights or treated hair in two distinctly separate sections of hair. It is even another object of the present invention to provide an applicator of this type that provides a separate and untreated section of hair between two treated sections of hair. These and other objects and advantages of the present invention will be provided by a hair treatment applicator having a handle and a plurality of retaining structures connected to the handle. Each of the plurality of retaining structures is separated from each other with respect to the plurality of retaining structures by a gap. The plurality of retention structures contains the hair treatment.
The present invention also relates to a hair treatment applicator for applying a hair treatment to the hair and comprising a handle, a plurality of heads connected to the handle and a retaining structure connected to each of the plurality of hairs. heads. Each head of the plurality of heads is separated from the other head of the plurality of heads by a gap. The retention structures contain the treatment for the hair. The present invention also relates to a hair treatment applicator for applying hair to the hair; the applicator has a handle, a first head connected to the handle having the first head a plurality of first tips forming a first retention volume, a second head connected to the handle with a second head having a plurality of second tips forming a second retention volume and a space of separation. The first retention volume and the second retention volume are separated by the separation space. The first and second retention volumes contain the treatment for the hair. These and other advantages, objects and features of the present invention will be understood by reference to the following.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Referring to the drawings and particularly to Figures 1 and 2, one embodiment of a hair treatment applicator of the present invention is shown in general terms represented by the reference number 10. The applicator 10 has a handle 20 and a head 50 connected to the handle. Preferably, the handle 20 and the head 50 are integrally molded or formed together. The handle 20 is an elongated handle which the user grasps in his hand when he passes the head 50 along the user's hair, as will be mentioned in greater detail below. The handle 20 can be any type of handle known in the art to be integrally secured or molded or conformed to the head 50. The handle 20 is preferably ergonomically designed and contoured to maximize comfort and efficiency for the user due to the Repeated movement of the applicator 0 as it passes along the user's hair. With reference to Figures 1 to 7, the head 50 has a bilaterally symmetrical shape and preferably has a heart-like shape. The head 50 has a first comb 100 and a second comb 200. In this embodiment, the applicator 10 has two combs 100, 200. However, as will be mentioned below and in detail, any amount of the same can be used in the present invention. combs The combs 100, 200 have bases 110, 210, respectively. Preferably, the bases 110, 210 have a circular shape. The comb 100 has a plurality of tips 120 that extend from the base 10 and the comb 200 has a plurality of tips 220 extending from the base 210. Preferably, the tips 120 are four tips that are disposed along the length of the base. the base 110 in a square pattern and the tips 220 are four tips that are disposed along the base 210 in a square pattern. More preferably, the tips 120, 220 are perpendicular with respect to the bases 10, 210. The tips 120, 220 preferably have a substantially cylindrical shape, having proximal ends 122, 222 and distal ends 124, 224. The proximal ends 122 , 222 are connected to the bases 110, 210, respectively. More preferably, the tips 120, 220 have a truncated cone shape or are their proximal ends 122, 222 tapered with respect to the distal ends 124, 224. The distal ends 124, 224 preferably have a flat terminal surface but can be use other non-planar surfaces such as a pointed or tapered end to facilitate the initial insertion of the tips 120, 220 through the section or strand of hair to be treated. Preferably, the tips 120, 220 have a height between about 6.35 mm (1/4 inch) to 2.54 cm (1.0 in.). More preferably, the tips 120, 220 have a height between about 9,525 mm (3/8 in.) To 19.05 mm (3/4 in.). Preferably, the proximal ends 122, 222 have an approximate diameter of 1.58 mm (1/16 in.) To 7.93 mm (5/16 in.). More preferably, the proximal ends 122, 222 have a diameter between about 3,175 mm (1/8 in.) To 6.35 mm (1/4 in.). Preferably, the distal ends 124, 224 have a diameter between about 1.58 mm (1/16 in.) To 9,525 mm (3/8 in.). More preferably, distal ends 124, 224 have a diameter of between about 1.58 mm (1/16 in.) to 7.93 mm (5/16 in.). Although this embodiment has four tips 120 and four tips 220, alternative numbers of tips 120, 220 may also be used. In addition, this mode configures the tips 120, 220 in square patterns along the bases 110, 210 with each point disposed at a corner of the square. The tips 120, 220 are disposed along the bases 110, 210 so that the sides of the square pattern are either substantially parallel or perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the handle 20. During use, the hair flow is between the tips 120, 220 parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle 20. The square pattern of the tips 120, 220 is preferred because it provides a more even distribution of treatment for the hair that is held between the tips. The square pattern also facilitates the passage of hair through the gaps 140, 240 between the tips 120,220, respectively, because the tips are evenly separated and the gaps 140, 240 are perpendicular to the hair flow (along the axis length of the handle 20) to limit the resistance of the tips to the hair flow. However, alternative patterns or shapes for the configuration of the tips 120, 220 may also be used along the bases 1 10, 210, including rectangular patterns. Preferably, the separations 140, 240 are approximately 0.79 mm (1/32 in.) To 7.93 mm (5/16 in.). More preferably, the separations 140, 240 have between about 1.58 mm (1/16 in.) To 4.76 mm (3/16 in.). The combs 100, 200 also have deflectors 130, 230. The deflectors 130, 230 are preferably formed between the internal or internal pairs of the tips 120,220 so that the deflectors are substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis 7. of the handle 20 and parallel to the hair flow path through the separations 140, 240. Preferably, the height of the deflectors 130, 230 is between about 3,175 mm (1/8 in.) to 2.54 cm (1.0 in. ). More preferably, the height of baffles 130, 230 is between about 6.35 mm (1/4 in.) To 9,525 mm (3/8 in.). In the preferred embodiment, the comb 100, the base 110, the tips 120 and the deflector 130 form a holding volume 150. Similarly, the comb 200, the base 210, the tips 220 and the deflector 230 form a volume of retention 250. During use, the retention volumes 50, 250 are filled with the treatment for the hair to be applied on the user's hair and the hair passes through the retention volumes through the separations 140. , 240. The head 50 also has a gap 300 and a handle 400. The gap 300 is formed by internal tips 120 of the comb 100 and internal tips 220 of the comb 200. The gap 300 provides a path for the Hair that is not going to be treated with the hair product. During use, hair flow is through retention volume 150, gap 300 and retention volume 250. Treatment for hair is placed in both retention volume 150 and retention volume 250 The middle or central strands of hair cross the gap 300 without being exposed to the hair treatment, while the outer strands of the hair traverse the retention volume 150 and the retention volume 250 where the hair treatment is applied. . This provides a separate and distinct set of treated hair or lights in two distinctly separate sections of hair with a separate and untreated section of hair in between. With reference to Figures 6 and 7, the gap 300 has a width S. Preferably, the width S has an approximate minimum of 6.35 mm (1/4 inch). This minimum for S width allows separate or distinct hair or hair treatments with a separate and separate section and no treatment in between. Previous applicators had the drawback of applying the hair product in the form of a single wide band. At the time of application, it appears to the user that multiple strips come out of this applicator because the strands of hair are temporarily separated by the tips or teeth of the applicator as it passes through the hair. The handle 400 of the head 50 is a nip or notch that is formed in a central portion of the back of the head. The handle 400 allows the user to place his finger on the handle for better handling and control of the applicator 10. In the preferred embodiment, the baffles 130, 230 help to retain the hair treatment at retention volumes 150, 250 for that the hair treatment does not enter the separation space 300. The baffles 130, 230 also prevent the strands of hair traversing the gap 300 from contacting any hair treatment that is at the outer boundary of the hair. retention volumes 150, 250. This provides a more homogeneous and uniform application of the hair treatment, straighter lines of separation between the treated and untreated sections of the hair. In the preferred embodiment, the applicator 10 has a first comb 100 and a second comb 200 with a gap 300 therebetween. However, any amount of a plurality of combs 100, 200 may be used in the present invention to form any number of separation volumes 300. In addition, the applicator 10 has two separate combs 100, 200 with a gap 300 between them. same. Alternatively, a single comb 100 having tips 120 configured in a plurality of squares or other patterns may be used., forming one or more separation volumes 300 therebetween so that the hair flows through one or more separation volumes to create a separate and distinct section of untreated hair between the sections of the hair treatment. The applicator 10 is preferably injection molded as a single piece. The applicator 10 can be made from any mouldable material, for example, polyethylene or polypropylene. Referring to Figure 8, there is shown an alternative embodiment of a hair treatment applicator of the present invention represented in general terms by the reference numeral 10 '. The applicator 10 'has a handle 20' and a head 50 'connected to the handle. The head 50"has combs 100 ', 200' having tips 120 ', 220. The tips 120', 220 'are formed in a square pattern with the sides of the square being either parallel or perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the applicator 10'. In the alternative embodiment, the internal tips 120 ', 220' do not have deflector structures or walls between them The combs 100 ', 200' have spacings 140 ', 240' which are both perpendicular and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle twenty". This allows the user to pass the hair between the tips 120", 220 'along the path that is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle 20' and create hair treatments or separate and distinct lights. passing the hair between the tips 120 ', 220' along a path that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the handle 20 'and creating a single treatment for the hair or broad light, as is carried out with contemporary applicators. In this alternative embodiment, the treatment for the hair has a sufficiently high viscosity to remain in the retention volumes 150 ', 250' without the need for a baffle or other separating structure.Preferably, the treatment product for the hair with a viscosity minimum of approximately 8 Pa.s (8000 cP) would remain in retention volumes 150 ', 250' without the use of deflectors or pairs between the combs 100 ', 200' and the separation space ion 300 '.
