Abstract

The present invention refers to a constructive arrangement for a manual or automatic life-saving jacket particularly designed for nautical, aquatic or aerial activities over areas covered by water or swampy regions, said jacket comprising areas of two or more lumens or compartments (01) strategically positioned in a number of positions in order to maintain the head of the person wearing the jacket out of the water. These lumens or compartments may be filled with compressed gas, or a gas produced by a chemical reaction, or by a foam having a lower density than that of the water activated by sensors of manually activated (04) in order to allow a positive floating of the person wearing the jacket even when the user finds it difficult to maintain the floating action due to exhaustion, panic, muscular fatigue, muscular cramps, lack of air, heart failure, mal-de-mer, drowsiness, loss of consciousness or any other motive which may place the user in eminent danger.

CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT FOR A MAVAL LIFE VESSEL "OR AUTOMATIC BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the invention The present invention relates to a novel, alternative constructive arrangement for a clothing article, life jacket, manual or automatic of the type described in Brazilian Patent Application No. PI 0104783-2, filed on September 25, 2001, designed specifically for nautical, aquatic or aerial activities, on areas covered with water or swampy regions, effectively guaranteed by float devices that are activated manually or automatically.
Description of the prior art The present invention relates to an alternative constructive arrangement that is applied to the inventive concept of the described lifejacket, where a novel model of life-saving device was designed that can be used as a complement to the commonly used bathing suits such as shorts, trusses, suits bath or bikinis; or even as a belt, anklet or 2 Wristband, which can be used together or separately, and can be used on any existing garment.
The use of life-saving devices in the practice of sports and other activities on areas that may pose a risk of drowning is of great importance in the real context.
The situation of drowning involving people who use lifejackets is very common because people jump into deep water without knowing how to swim, or using poorly fitted life jackets and / or the fact that they are sometimes unconscious and, therefore, can not Keep your heads out of the water. In many cases, accidents only occur and in other cases, bodies are found at the bottom of the water. Therefore, there is a growing need for new and improved equipment and techniques to help prevent this kind of accidents.
Compendium of the invention The present invention is directed to the purpose of an alternative solution to the above problems, and was 3 designed with unique subsidies as will be described later.
An objective of the present invention is to present technical and functional subsidies to the current problems, and to solve these problems with an article of clothing that was designed equipped with parts of two or more lights or compartments strategically located in such a way to maintain the head of a person who uses the lifejacket out of the water.
The lights or compartments may be filled with compressed gas or a gas produced by a chemical reaction, or by a foam having a lower density than water to provide positive flotation of this person using the lifejacket even in a situation where the person is difficult to maintain the floating action, due to exhaustion, panic, muscle fatigue, muscle cramps, lack of air, heart failure, sea sickness, drowsiness, loss of consciousness or any other reason that may put the person in danger imminent.
The lifejacket according to the present invention can be made of any material such as 4 a woven knitted fabric or a stretchable and waterproof material. Also, when knitted knitted fabric is used, it is even possible to inject catalyzed, waterproof foam into the cavities of the porous fabric, in a manner similar to the foams used to fill and seal pneumatic tires.
The lifejacket according to the present invention can be activated manually or can be activated automatically by sensors operating jointly or separately when they come into contact with water, depth sensorsimmersion time sensors or transcutaneous oximetry (equipment used to measure the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream that currently has the approximate size of a wristwatch) sensors that will automatically activate the system to inflate the lifejacket and push the individual to the surface of the water, therefore, avoiding an irrecoverable drowning resulting from an excessive lapse under water, thus allowing the individual to be found and saved.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS 5 The accompanying drawings, which are incorporated and constitute a part of the specification, show the preferred embodiments of the invention, and together with the description serve to explain a basic and preferred embodiment developed by the applicant.
However, the present invention should not be limited to this unique form of modality and characterization, in view of the fact that other forms of fabrication are possible as shown by the life saving models of Figures 4 and 5. All these modalities are considered within the scope of the invention. scope of what is originally claimed.
Figure 1 is a first perspective view of a lifejacket in accordance with the present invention showing its front part; Figure 2 is a second perspective view of a lifejacket according to the present invention, showing its back; Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view, on an enlarged scale, of the lifejacket, in accordance with the present invention; 6 Figure 4 is a perspective view showing the proposed alternative embodiment of the lifejacket according to the present invention; Y Figure 5 is a schematic view showing the activation of the alternative mode.
Description of the invention In order to better show the points described above, the present invention will be described below in relation to its preferred embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings.
As can be seen in the drawings, the present invention relates to a lifejacket made of any suitable material such as knitted fabric or a waterproof and stretchable material that provides thermal protection, the vest being arranged with a series of lights or compartments 1 uniformly and internally located near the neck opening along its front and back portions. The lights or compartments 1 are designed to retain a special gas 2 from a chemical reaction and are provided with an internal film 3 made of 7 Any material used to block holes to make them waterproof.
The sensors 4 are located in the back portion of the life jacket, which will activate a system to release the gas 2 towards the compartments 1, inflate them in such a way as to cause positive flotation.
The vest can also be inflated by a valve and will be refilled without the use of any other means of the compartments 1, therefore, inflating them in such a way as to cause positive flotation.
It is also possible to operate the system through a pin 5 located on the shoulder area of the lifejacket.
An oxygen gas chamber 6 activated by a closed circuit 7 is located in the back portion of the life jacket to release oxygen through a small diameter tube 8 and with a mask 9 at its distal end for an eventual supply of oxygen.
The inventive concept can be applied in the alternative mode of the lifejacket 10 8 provided by a folded vest 11, activated manually or automatically 12, inflated from the gas cylinder 13, provided by the closure 14.
In this form, the article of clothing manual or automatic lifejacket for nautical, aquatic or aerial activities on areas covered with water or swampy regions according to the present invention, as is evident from the analysis performed, has new characteristics that in the final analysis leads to greater security for users, thus deserving the legal protection claimed with this.
