Abstract

El objeto de la invencion es un procedimiento para la preparacion de acidos carboxilicos saturados con uno a cuatro atomos de carbono por oxidacion en fase gaseosa, caracterizado porque se hace reaccionar 2-butanona sobre un catalizador recubierto, que contiene un cuerpo de soporte inerte no poroso y una masa de oxidos mixtos cataliticamente activa aplicada sobre la superficie externa del cuerpo de soporte, que contiene a) uno o varios oxidos del grupo dioxido de titanio, dioxido de circonio, dioxido de estano, oxido de aluminio y b) 0.1 a 1.5% en peso, referido al peso del componente a) y por m2/g de superficie especifica del componente a), de pentoxido de vanadio, y se emplea como material de partida metil-etil-cetona.
