Abstract

Un método y aparato para el tratamiento y recuperacion de valores metálicos de polvo metalurgico comprendiendo los pasos de lavar preliminarmente el polvo para remover sales de cloruro (62), lixiviar el polvo limpiado con una solucion de ácido nítrico dando como resultado la disolucion substancialmente completa de valores de zinc, cadmio, cobre, manganeso y plomo (64) contenidos, recopilar y reciclar los vapores de ácido exudado de la lixiviacion (92), removiendo hierro de lixiviante resultante como un precipitado de oxido de hierro reusables vía elevacion de pH con carbonato básico de zinc (66), recuperar electrolíticamente cadmio, cobre y plomo del lixiviante sin hierro (70), evaporar y descomponer el anolito resultante para obtener oxidos de zinc, magnesio y manganeso y nitrato de calcio anhídrido (72), seguido por la separacion de nitrato de calcio (74) y la disolucion amoniacal (78) y recuperacion de zinc (84) con lixiviacion deácido (88)subsecuente y la separacion de los valores de magnesio y manganeso (90).
