Abstract

Las proteínas son aplicadas a un artículo polimérico mediante el contacto del artículo polimérico con una proteína y la exposicion del artículo polimérico contactado a una frecuencia con una disipacion de energía suficiente durante un período de tiempo suficiente. El rango de frecuencia para aplicar proteínas a un artículo polimérico es de aproximadamente 5 a 40 KHz con una energía mínima disipada de aproximadamente 1 watt. Como resultado, los artículos poliméricos así tratados exhiben una humectabilidad en agua mejorada, las proteínas pueden ser aplicadas a los artículos poliméricos muy rápidamente y más uniformemente que mediante la utilizacion de otros métodos, y pueden producirse artículos poliméricos que presenten zonas seleccionadas de humectabilidad.
