Abstract

Se ha desarrollado un método para enriquecer el contenido de hierro de materiales minerales que portan hierro en bajo grado el cual produce un concentrado mineral alto en hierro adecuado para procesar el hierro en lingotes de hierro y acero. El proceso incluye reducir los materiales minerales que portan hierro en bajo grado a una forma particulada fina y tratar una suspensión acuosa de este material por aplicar una combinación de tratamientos ultrasónicos en una pluralidad de operaciones de separación magnéticas de alta y baja intensidad para remover materiales de interferencia y concentrar materiales que portan hierro magnéticos y paramagnéticos en una provisión mineral de alto grado.
