Abstract

Se proporciona una fibra multicomponentes que incluye un componente núcleo rodeado por un componente de envoltura distinto. El componente núcleo se forma principalmente de ácido poliláctico y el componente de envoltura se forma principalmente de un aditivo endurecedor polimérico. La configuración envoltura/nucleo puede proporcionar una variedad de diferentes beneficios a la fibra resultante. Por ejemplo, el aditivo endurecedor polimérico puede ayudar a a aumentar la capacidad de la fibra para absorber la energía que surge de las tensiones durante el estiramiento de la fibra. Al mismo tiempo, la presencia del aditivo endurecedor en el componente de envoltura puede mejorar el grado de adherencia a otras fibras (iguales o diferentes), tal como cuando se emplea en un material de trama de tela no tejida.
