Abstract
Esta invención se relaciona con una composición activadora que comprende: (i) un compuesto de organoaluminio; (ii) un compuesto carbocatión de la fórmula R1(X)n; en donde R1 es un hidrocarbilo; n es de 1 al número de posibles sustituciones del grupo hidrocarbilo y cada X es un grupo saliente lábil; (iii) un aluminoxano. La composición activadora puede contener además un soporte portador. Esta invención proporciona además una composición catalizadora que comprende la composición activadora descrita anteriormente y un componente de metal de transición. Esta invención proporciona además métodos para polimerizar monómeros que comprende llevar a cabo la polimerización en presencia de una o más composiciones catalizadoras de acuerdo con esta invención.
