Abstract

La invención presenta la generación de anticuerpos monoclonales, o fragmentos de los mismos, que reconocen la proteína L quimérica del virus parainfluenza humano (PIV), donde dichos anticuerpos monoclonales o fragmentos de estos comprenden una región variable de la cadena pesada y una región variable de la cadena liviana. Se proporciona además, un método de diagnóstico de infección por PIV en una muestra biológica de secreción nasofaríngea, que utiliza los anticuerpos monoclonales en formato de kit de diagnóstico.
