Abstract

Un dispositivo de IORT (10) para tratamiento por radioterapia de pacientes con cáncer, que comprende una fuente de partículas, un dispositivo acelerador (11), que envía un haz de partículas (12) sobre un objetivo (14) a través de un aplicador (15), un filtro de dispersión (16), que permite mantener la distancia entre la fuente de partículas y el objetivo (14) dentro de un margen compatible con el uso de dispositivos de IORT (10) en quirófanos estándar, y un sistema óptico para colimar el haz de partículas (12), que es colocado entre el filtro de dispersión (16) y el aplicador (15); específicamente, el sistema colimador óptico del haz de partículas comprende un tamiz principal (17), configurado para proteger contra la radiación producida por el filtro de dispersión (16), un tamiz secundario (18), configurado para proteger contra los fotones producidos en el tamiz principal (17), y un aparato colimador (19), que proporciona alojamiento para las cámaras de supervisión (20).
