Abstract
La invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para la produccion de 1,4-butanodiol, que comprende la preparacion de un caldo de fermentacion que comprende 1,4-butanodiol a partir de fuentes renovables y agua, separacion de una fraccion liquida que comprende dicho 1,4-butanodiol y agua de una o mas fracciones solidas, dicha fraccion liquida comprendiendo 2-pirrolidona en una cantidad mayor de 80 ppm, una o mas pasadas de la fraccion liquida resultante a traves de un lecho que comprende una o mas resinas de intercambio cationico, proveyendo de esta manera un pH de salida de dicha fraccion liquida de 4 a 2, una o mas pasadas de la fraccion liquida resultante a través de un lecho que comprende una o mas resinas de intercambio anionico, proveyendo de esta manera un pH de salida de dicha fraccion liquida de 8 a 11, y la destilacion de la fraccion liquida provista de esta manera para obtener una composicion que tenga una concentracion de dicho 1,4-butanodiol mayor de 99.0% en peso y comprendiendo 2-pirrolidona en una cantidad menor de 6 ppm; la composicion resultante debe exhibir un valor de color APHA despues del envejecimiento, menor de 30.
