Abstract
Las válvulas de control de flujo se pueden posicionar corriente abajo de medidores de agua para incrementar la presión y comprimir el vapor de agua arrastrado que pasa a través de los medidores. Sin embargo, la turbulencia dentro de tales válvulas puede causar que la cabeza de la válvula se mueva radialmente, doblando un árbol dentro de la válvula que puede romperse. Por consiguiente, se proporciona una válvula de control de flujo que comprende: un alojamiento que tiene un pasaje de flujo; un asiento de válvula definido dentro del pasaje de flujo; una cabeza de válvula que se puede mover a una posición cerrada para acoplar el asiento de válvula y sellar el pasaje de flujo; un árbol asegurado a la cabeza de válvula; un soporte que se monta deslizablemente al árbol dentro del alojamiento; un resorte que desvía la cabeza de válvula a la posición cerrada y configurado para mantener la cabeza de válvula en la posición cerrada hasta que se aplica una presión predeterminada; y un ensamblaje de guía que se extiende a lo largo de por lo menos una porción del pasaje de flujo para restringir el movimiento radial de la cabeza de válvula.
