Abstract
Provided is a high strength seamless steel pipe with which high strength and low hardness can be made to stably coexist while ensuring weldability. For the high strength seamless steel pipe, the chemical composition is, in mass%, C: 0.10-0.18%, Si: 0.03-1.0%, Mn: 0.5-2.0%, P: 0.020% or less, S: 0.0080% or less, Cr: 0.10-0.60%, Mo: 0.10-0.40%, V: 0.02-0.40%, Ti: 0.004-0.020%, B: 0.0005-0.005%, Al: 0.10% or less, N: 0.008% or less, Ca: 0.0004-0.0040%, Cu: 0.1-1.0%, Ni: 0.2-1.0%, Nb: 0-0.05%, the balance being Fe and impurities and expression (1) being satisfied. C+Si/30+(Mn+Cu+Cr)/20+Ni/60+Mo/15+V/10+5×B=0.28 Expression (1) In the element symbols in expression (1), the contents of the corresponding elements in mass% are to be substituted.
