Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un sistema para el control de accesos (2) que comprende una pluralidad de unidades de control de acceso (7) en que cada acceso (2) tiene asignado una unidad de control de acceso (7) con un dispositivo de captura de datos (6) asignado a la misma. Las unidades de control de acceso (7) están acopladas a un dispositivo de control (11) por medio de una red. Se determina en el sistema una señal de error que indica que un primer dispositivo de captura de datos (6) en un primer acceso (2) no es operacional y no puede capturar ningunos datos de una persona que solícita entrar por el primer acceso (2). Una señal de datos es generada por un segundo dispositivo de captura de datos (6) en un segundo acceso (2) cuando el segundo dispositivo de captura de datos (6) captura los datos de autorización de la persona que solicita entrar por el primer acceso (2). Se transmite en el sistema una señal de activación a la unidad de control de acceso (7) en el primer acceso (2) con la finalidad de liberar el primer acceso (2) y permitir la entrada de la persona.
