Abstract

The present disclosure is related to a treatment method and process of organic solid waste difficult to degrade by composting using larvae. The present invention is a method for the treatment and degradation of organic solid waste, selected from organic waste generated in dining rooms, PTAR sludge, fecal waste from farm animals and organic waste derived from food production processes, inter alia. Consisting in depositing a predetermined quantity of fly larvae selected from Black Soldier Fly and housefly larvae in a predetermined amount or volume of organic solid waste, preferably crushed and placed in composting with larvae basins with fly larvae until obtaining a first substrate mostly degraded. Said composting is called fly larvae humus, which is obtained in a 15 to 20 days period. At least a percentage of fly pupae are extracted from the substrate for reproduction and subsequent eggs oviposition, where the substrate degraded by fly larvae is removed from the composting with larvae tanks and taken to a second treatment stage by composting or vermicomposting.
