Abstract
Un método para el tratamiento de una materia prima carbonosa como carbón o biomasa. El método comprende la adsorción a un agente oxidante seleccionado de un gas que contiene oxígeno, peróxido de hidrógeno, ozono y ácidos oxidantes de una fase líquida de una mezcla acuosa que comprende agua y la materia prima carbonosa en la materia prima carbonosa para producir una mezcla acuosa con la fase líquida con un contenido reducido de agente oxidante y la materia prima carbonosa teniendo un agente oxidante adsorbido sobre una superficie de la misma y el calentamiento de esta mezcla acuosa a una temperatura y durante un tiempo suficiente para oxidar parcialmente y solubilizar al menos una porción la materia prima carbonosa. Los productos de reacción pueden separarse química o físicamente, reciclarse al paso de calentamiento y/o someterles a digestión microbiana con el fin de generar uno o más productos deseables a partir de la materia prima carbonosa. La porción sólida de los productos de reacción pueden procesarse adicionalmente para ser utilizada en la industria del papel.
