Abstract
Se describe un quemador de oxi-combustible selectivo para montaje en una puerta de carga de un horno giratorio, que incluye por lo menos dos elementos quemadores cada uno orientado para caldear en diferentes porciones del horno, cada elemento quemador que incluye una boquilla de distribución selectiva configurada para hacer fluir un primer reactivo; y una boquilla de distribución proporcional configurada para hacer fluir un segundo reactivo; por lo menos un sensor para detectar uno o más parámetros de proceso relacionados con la operación del horno; y un controlador programado para controlar independientemente el flujo del primer reactivo a cada boquilla de distribución selectiva basada en los parámetros de proceso detectados tal que el por lo menos un elemento quemador está activo y por lo menos un elemento quemador está pasivo; y en donde el segundo reactivo se distribuye sustancialmente de manera proporcional a las boquillas de distribución proporcional; y en donde el primer reactivo es uno de un combustible y un oxidante y en donde el segundo reactivo es el otro de un combustible y un oxidante.
