Abstract
La presente descripción se refiere a un dispositivo y un método para reducir el ruido de cuantificación en una señal contenida en una excitación en el dominio del tiempo, decodificada por un decodificador del dominio del tiempo. La excitación en el dominio del tiempo decodificada es convertida a una excitación en el dominio de la frecuencia. Se produce una máscara de ponderación para la recuperación de información espectral perdida en el ruido de cuantificación. La excitación en el dominio de la frecuencia es modificada para aumentar la dinámica espectral mediante la aplicación de la máscara de ponderación. La excitación en el dominio de la frecuencia modificada es convertida en una excitación en el dominio del tiempo modificada. El método y el dispositivo pueden ser utilizados para mejorar la represtación del contenido de música en códecs basados en predicción lineal (LP). Opcionalmente, una síntesis de la excitación en el dominio del tiempo decodificada puede ser clasificada en uno de un primer conjunto de categorías de excitación y un segundo conjunto de categorías de excitación, el segundo conjunto incluye las categorías de INACTIVA o NO VOCAL, mientras que el primer conjunto incluye una categoría de OTRA.
