Abstract

Se describe una composición insecticida que comprende, en peso y en base al peso total de la composición: (a) de aproximadamente 0.25 a aproximadamente 25 % de uno o más insecticidas de diamida antranílica; (b) de aproximadamente 2.5 a aproximadamente 25 % de un componente polímero de poli(ácido láctico) que tiene una dispersabilidad en agua de al menos aproximadamente 5 % en peso a 20 °C y un peso molecular promedio que varía de aproximadamente 700 a aproximadamente 4,000 dalton; en donde la relación en peso entre el componente (b) y el componente (a) es de aproximadamente 1:1 a aproximadamente 1:10; y (c) de aproximadamente 20 a aproximadamente 50 % de una composición que comprende (i) un copolímero de poli(lactidaco-glicolida) y un copolímero de metil poli(etilenglicol), o (ii) un polímero o copolímero a base de acrilato/metacrilato y un copolímero de metil poli(etilenglicol); en donde el copolímero de metil poli(etilenglicol) tiene una solubilidad en agua de al menos aproximadamente 5 % en peso a 20 °C, un valor de equilibrio hidrófilo-lipófilo de al menos aproximadamente 7, y un peso molecular promedio que varía de 12,000 a 65,000 y, además, en donde la relación en peso de poli(lactida-co--glicolida) o el polímero o copolímero a base de acrilato/metacrilato al metil poli(etilenglicol) es de aproximadamente 1:1 a aproximadamente 4:1, y la relación en peso del componente (c) al componente (b) es de aproximadamente 2:1 a aproximadamente 9:1. Se describe, además, un propágulo geotrópico revestido con la composición insecticida. Además, se describe una composición líquida que comprende la composición insecticida, y un método para proteger un propágulo geotrópico y una planta derivada de este de una plaga de insectos fitófagos.
