Abstract

La presente invención describe polioles de poliéster aromáticos adecuados para combinarse con otros polioles u otros materiales mutuamente compatibles con los polioles de poliéster para lograr productos de poliuretano y poliisocianurato. En particular, la presente invención describe polioles de poliéster que comprenden la reacción de: A) un componente aromático que comprende el 80 % molar o más de ácido tereftálico; B) un poliol de poliéter que tiene una funcionalidad nominal mayor a 2 y menor o igual a 4, un peso molecular de 250 a 1000 y tiene un contenido de polioxipropileno de al menos el 70% en peso del poliol; y C) un glicol además de B que tiene un peso molecular de 60 a 250; en donde A, B, y C están presentes en la reacción en una base de porcentaje en peso de 20 a 60% en peso de A); 15 a 70% en peso de B); y 10 a 50% en peso de C).
