Abstract
Se describe un dispositivo de calentamiento por inducción de flujo transversal en el cual se hace que un campo magnético alternante cruce la superficie de la placa de una placa conductiva que se transporta en una dirección, calentando por consiguiente inductivamente dicha placa conductiva. Dicho dispositivo de calentamiento por inducción de flujo transversal se provee con: una bobina de calentamiento dispuesta de modo que la superficie de bobina de la misma mire hacia la superficie de la placa de la placa conductiva; un núcleo alrededor del cual se enrolla la bobina de calentamiento; y una placa de protección formada de un conductor y dispuesta entre el núcleo y un extremo de la placa conductiva en una dirección perpendicular a la dirección de transporte. La placa de protección tiene protuberancias, las superficies laterales de las cuales forman un lazo cerrado cuando se miran desde una dirección perpendicular a la superficie de la bobina anteriormente mencionada.
