Abstract

La presente invención describe un laminado que comprende una capa ionomérica intermedia, la cual, a su vez, comprende o se prepara a partir de un ionámero mezclado de sodio/zinc que comprende grupos carboxilato y una combinación de contraiones que consiste esencialmente de cationes de sodio y cationes de zinc. El ionámero mezclado de sodio/zinc es el producto de la neutralización de un copolímero ácido precursor. El copolímero ácido precursor comprende unidades copolimerizadas de una a-olefina y un ácido carboxílico a,-etilénicamente insaturado, y tiene una velocidad de flujo de fusión de aproximadamente 70 a aproximadamente 1000 g/10 min. Adicionalmente, el copolímero ácido precursor, cuando se encuentra neutralizado a un nivel de aproximadamente 40 % a aproximadamente 90 %, y cuando comprende contraiones que consisten esencialmente de iones de sodio, produce un ionómero de sodio que tiene una entalpía de congelación que no es detectable o que es menor que aproximadamente 3.0 j/g, cuando se determina por calorimetría de barrido diferencial.
