Abstract
Se describen un método y un sistema para tratar la Presbicia y la pre-Presbicia que no comprometen la visión intermedia o lejana del usuario. El sistema es un lente y una serie de lentes, en donde los perfiles de aumento de los lentes se personalizan para proporcionar una cantidad de potencia ADD positiva en la zona de la visión cercana que es ligeramente menor que la que normalmente se requiere para la acomodación de la visión cercana, mientras que también proporciona una cantidad de aberración esférica negativa en la zona óptica periférica. Los factores oculares dinámicos del ojo del usuario trabajan junto con la potencia ADD positiva proporcionada por la zona óptica central y con la ADD efectiva ganada de la aberración esférica negativa proporcionada por la zona óptica periférica para inducir una cantidad mínimamente discernible de borrón que se afina para maximizar la profundidad de foco del usuario.
