Abstract

La invención en cuestión proporciona plantas novedosas que son resistentes no sólo a 2,4-D, sino también a un herbicida de piridiloxiacetato; la invención en cuestión también incluye plantas que producen una o más enzimas de la invención en cuestión "apiladas" juntas con uno o más genes resistentes a otros herbicidas; la invención en cuestión permite el uso de combinaciones novedosas de herbicidas en nuevas formas; adicionalmente la invención en cuestión ofrece métodos novedosos para prevenir el desarrollo de, y control de, cepas de malezas que son resistentes a uno o más herbicidas como glifosato; la enzima y gen preferidos para su uso de conformidad con la invención en cuestión se les denomina en la presente como as AAD-13 (AriloxiAlcanoato Dioxigenasa); este descubrimiento altamente novedoso es la base del rasgo tolerante del cultivo a herbicidas y de oportunidades de marcador seleccionable.
