Abstract

En el caso de un método para producir un granulado no adherente por arriba de la temperatura de transición vítrea a partir de un material de poliéster, en el cual el material de poliéster es introducido como un fundido dentro de una corriente de agua de enfriamiento y es separado del agua de enfriamiento después de correr a través de una zona de enfriamiento (4), de acuerdo a la invención el tiempo de residencia del material de poliéster en la zona de enfriamiento (4) es de 0.2 a 5 segundos. A lo largo de la zona de enfriamiento (4) el agua de enfriamiento tiene una presión de al menos 2 barias. Para el granulado obtenido de esta manera, la recristalización no es requerida, al menos no en cada caso. Se ha encontrado que, incluso sin recristalización y movimiento mecánico, el granulado no se adhiere si no existe introducción de energía externa adicional. Incluso en el caso de calentamiento bajo presión, no pudieron ser observados casos de adherencia. El granulado es adecuado para el procesamiento adicional directo, posiblemente explotando su temperatura todavía alta.
