Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un fusible para un circuito de potencia de corriente alterna, comprendiendo el fusible un terminal de entrada, un primer contacto eléctricamente conectado al terminal de entrada, un terminal de salida, un segundo contacto eléctricamente conectado al terminal de salida, un elemento fusible que conecta eléctricamente los contactos primero y segundo y que completa una trayectoria eléctrica normal entre los terminales de entrada y de salida, y un contacto de formación de arco dispuesto en relación con el primer contacto de manera que forme una trayectoria de arco potencial entre el primer contacto y el contacto de formación de arco, a lo largo de cuya trayectoria quedará establecido un arco después que el elemento fusible interrumpe en respuesta a la corriente de falla, caracterizado dicho fusible porque el contacto de formación de arco está conectado eléctricamente a un tercer terminal y está aislado eléctricamente del terminal de salida.
