Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición de espuma de poliuretano flexible retardante de flama, la cual retiene sus resistencia a la sofocación de cigarro aún despues de usarse, caracterizada porque consiste esencialmente de a) un poliol de polioxialquilenpoliéter, b) un poliisocianato orgánico, c) un agente de soplado, d) un catalizador, e) un surfactante f) melamina y g) opcionalmente, extendedores de cadena y retardantes de flama distintos a la melamina, en donde la concentración de melamina es de alrededor de 5 por ciento en peso a 25 por ciento en peso del de la espuma, y en donde la densidad de la espuma es de por lo menos 0.0192 gr/cm cúbico a 0.650 gr/cm cúbico.
