Abstract

The invention relates to the mechanical engineering and can be used in devices of vehicles working in urban or ascent and descent conditions, with frequent stops and intense accelerations.The device for the use of braking energy in vehicles comprises a torque transmission mechanism placed between the cardan joint flange (13) and the pinion shaft flange (12). The torque transmission mechanism consists of a drive pulley (15), inside which are placed a disk (6) and a flange (5), fixed, respectively, to the cardan joint flange (13) and to the pinion shaft flange (12) with the help of floating pins (8), at the inner ends of which are fixed shoes (10) with brake pads (11) with the possibility of periodic contact with the drive pulley (15). The drive pulley (15) through the belts (4) is connected to the pulleys of two electric motors-generators that are connected to a storage battery.
