Abstract

회로 카드를 적소에 유지시키는 전기 커넥터는 회로 카드를 커넥터 내의 장착 위치에 유지하기 위해 회로 카드의 측면 단부와 결합하기 위한 래칭 아암을 포함한다. 이런 전기 커넥터는 래칭 아암을 더 얇게 형성될 수 있게 하여 전체 전기 커넥터의 소형화를 가능하게 한다. 전기 커넥터는 회로 카드의 단부를 수용하기 위한 카드수용 슬롯이 형성되어 하우징과, 회로 카드의 단부에서의 도전성 패턴과 전기적 연통을 이루기 위해 카드 수용 슬롯 내에서 서로 평행하게 제공된 다수의 단자를 포함한다. 래칭 아암은 하우징에 일체로 형성되고 외향으로 편향 가능하다, 래칭 아암은 카드 수용 슬롯 내에서 수용되는 회로 카드의 측면 단부와 결합하도록 되고, 금속으로된 보강 채널은 래칭 아암의 편향 및 비틀림을 제한하기 위한 래칭 아암에 결합하여 그를 따라 연장한다.

Claims (7)

  1. 제1 회로 기판과 제2 회로 기판 사이의 접속을 제공하기 위한 전기 커넥터에 있어서, 2개의 종방향측변과 그 사이에서 산재되고 회로 카드의 단부를 내부에 수용하도록 되는 카드 수용 슬롯을 갖는 절연 커넥터 하우징과, 상기 회로 카드가 상기 카드 수용 슬롯 내에 비치될 때, 회로 카드 단부 근방에 배치된 다수의 유사한 도전성 접점과 전기적으로 연통하기 위한 상기 카드 수용 슬롯내에 배치되고 각각이 상기 커넥터 하우징을 연장하는 납땜 미부를 갖는 다수의 도전성 단자와, 상기 커넥터 하우징에 일체로 형성되고, 각각이 상기 카드 수용 슬롯의 대향 단부에 인접 배치되고, 상기 회로 카드의 각각의 양면 단부와 결합하기 위해 배치되고 상기 회로 카드를 상기 카드 수용 슬롯 안으로의 삽입시에 상기 카드 수용 슬롯에 정렬되는 양 방향으로 상기 커넥터 하우징으로부터 외향 편향 가능한 한 쌍의 탄성래칭 아암과, 각각이 상기 래칭 아암 중 하나와 인접 배치되고 상기 래칭 아암을 부분적으로 둘러싸도록 상기 래칭 아암을 따라 세로 방향으로 연장하고, 각각이 상기 래칭 아암의 편향을 제한하는 다수의 보강 표면을 갖고, 상기 보강 표면을 형성하도록 하는 웨브와 상기 웨브에 의해 상호 접속되는 별개의 상부 및 하부 플랜지부를 포함하는 한 쌍의 보강 채널을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 상부 및 하부 플랜지부는 각각의 상향 및 하향방향으로의 상기 래칭 아암의 편향을 제한하는 역할을 하고 상기 보강 채널 웨브른 상기 양 방향으로의 상기 래칭 아암의 편향을 제한하는 역할을 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보강 채널은 상기 보강 채널을 상기 래칭 아암상의 적소에 유지하기 위해 커넥터 하우징의 부분 안으로 삽입 가능한 유지 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 각각의 상기 보강 채널은 상기 보강 채널을 상기 제1회로 기판에 고정시키기 위해 커넥터의 기판 장착면과 마주보면서 상기 보강 채널로부터 연장하는 납땜 패드를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 각각의 상기 보강 채널은 상기 제1 회로 기판 장착면을 향해 하향으로 매달려 있는 지지 레그를 포함하고, 각각의 상기 지지레그는 상기 커넥터 안으로의 상기 회로 카드의 삽입시에 상기 납땜 미부에 발생된 들어올리는 힘에 내성을 제공하기 위해 상기 제1회로 기판에 인접 배치하기 위한 제1 회로 기판 결합면을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 래칭 아암은 각각 내향 연장하는 돌출부를 포함하고 각각의 상기 보강 채널의 상부 플랜지는 상기 돌출부 중 하나에 부분적으로 배치되는 연장부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 커넥터 하우징은 상기 카드 수용 슬롯의 양 단부에 배치된 2개의 단부벽을 포함하고, 상기 래칭 아암은 외팔보 형태로 상기 단부벽으로부터 연장하고, 상기 보강 채널은 각각 상기 외팔보식 래칭 아암에 지지를 제공하기 위해 하향 연장하는 장착 레그를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
