Abstract

본 발명은 블럭 트런케이션 코딩기법에 의거하여 검출되는 영상 신호의 비트플랜을 압축하여 전송하기 위한 장치에 관한 것으로, 이를 해결하기 위해 블럭 트런케이션 코딩기법에 코딩기법에 의해 발생될 수 있는 비트플랜내에 포함된 픽셀들에 대한 런값과 레벨값을 구하기 위해 지그제그 스캐닝하는 지그제그 스캐닝부와, 룩업 테이블로부터 검출하고, 이 검출된 해당 비트들을 출력하는 가변 길이 부호처리부와, 블럭 트런케이션 코딩기법에 의해 생성되는 비트플랜 내에 포함된 비트수와, 지그제그 스캐닝되고, 가변길이 부호화되어 제공되는 비트 플랜의 비트 수를 비교하는 비트수 비교기와, 비트수 비교기의 비교결과에 따라 제공되는 비트 플랜중 어느 하나를 선택 적하기 위한 선택기를 포함하도록 구성된다.

제1도는 본 발명에 대한 스캐닝을 이용한 비트플랜 압축전송장치의 블럭구성도, 제2도 내지 제6도는 본 발명을 설명하기 위한 도면.

Claims (3)

  1. 블럭 트런케이션 코딩알고리즘을 포함하며, 입력되는 영상신호를 소정블럭의 비트 플랜으로 분할하고, 이 분할된 비트 플랜의 평균과 분산값을 대표하는 대표정보값을 제공하는 BTC 처리부를 구비하는 장치에 있어서; 상기 BTC처리부로부터 제공되는 복수개의 비트플랜내에 포함된 픽셀들에 대한 런값과 레벨값을 구하기 위해 지그제그 스캐닝하는 지그제그 스캐닝부와; 상기 지그제그 스캐닝에 의해 얻어진 런값과 레벨값에 대응되는 코드 데이타를 상기 런값과 레벨값에 대응되어 가변 길이 코드를 저장하고 있는 룩업 테이블로부터 검출하고, 이 검출된 해당 비트들을 출력하는 가변길이 부호화 처리부와; 상기 BTC 처리부로부터 제공되는 비트플랜내에 포함된 비트수와, 상기 지그제그 스캐닝되고, 가변길이 부호화되어 제공되는 비티 플랜의 비트 수를 비교하는 비트수 비교기와; 상기 비트수 비교기에서의 비교결과에 따른 선택신호에 의해 상기 BTC 처리부로부터 제공되는 비트플랜과, 상기 지그제그 스캐닝되고, 가변길이 부호화되어 제공되는 비트 플랜중 어느 하나를 선택하는 선택기를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 스캐닝을 이용한 비트플랜 압축전송장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 선택기는, 상기 블럭 트런케이션 코딩기법에 의해 분할되는 비트플랜과, 상기 지그제그 스캐닝되고, 가변길이 부호화되어 제공는 비트 플랜중 비트 수중 작다고 판단되는 상기 비트 플랜을 선택함을 특징으로 하는 스캐닝을 이용한 비트플랜 압축전송장치.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 선택기는 상기 비트수 비교부의 선택신호에 의해 동작되는 멀티플렉서로 구현됨을 특징으로 하는 스캐닝을 이용한 비트플랜 압축전송장치.
