Abstract

본 발명은 폴리비닐 알코올 및 폴리비닐 알코올 분말을 충분한 양 즉, 상기 폴리비닐 알코올 분말을 팽윤 시키면서 그것을 용해시키거나 슬러리를 형성하지 않을 정도의 중합성 단량체 용액과 함께 분무하는, 변성 폴리비닐 알코올의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서는 팽윤된 폴리비닐 알코올 분말을 자유라디칼 공급원(개시제)와 함께 분무하고 폴리비닐 알코올과 중합성 단량체간의 반응을 개시하기 위해 온도를 높인다.

Claims (20)

  1. (a) 폴리비닐 알코올 분말을 중합성 단량체를 함유하는 일정량의 즉 폴리비닐 알코올 분말을 팽윤시키지만, 폴리비닐 알코올 분말과 슬러리를 형성하지 않으며 폴리비닐 알코올 분말을 용해시키지 않을 정도의 용매와 함께 분무시키는 단계; (b) 분무된 폴리비닐 알코올 분말을 팽윤시키는 단계; (c) 팽윤된 폴리비닐 알코올 분말위에 자유라디칼 공급원을 분무시키는 단계; 및 (d) 상기 팽윤된 폴리비닐 알코올 분말의 온도를 상승시켜서 폴리비닐 알코올과 중합성 단량체간의 반응을 개시하는 단계를 포함하는 폴리비닐 알코올의 변성 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 폴리비닐 알코올 분말을 계속 교반시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 폴리비닐 알코올 분말의 입자 크기가 5mm 이하인 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 중합성 단량체가 비닐 설폰산, 알릴 설폰산, 아크릴아미드, N-메틸올아크릴아미드, 2-아크릴아미도메틸프로판 설폰산, 아크릴로니트릴, 아크릴산및 메타크릴산으로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 중합성 단량체가 알릴 설폰산 또는 알릴 설폰산염인 방법.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 폴리비닐 알코올의 가수분해도가 87몰% 내지 89몰%인 방법.
  7. 제4항에 있어서, 용매가 물인 방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 혼합을 용이하게 하기 위해 글리세롤 모노올레이트를 첨가하는 방법.
  9. 제4항에 있어서, 중합성 단량체와 자유라디칼 공급원을 단계마다 가하는 방법.
  10. 제1항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  11. 제2항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  12. 제3항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  13. 제4항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  14. 제5항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  15. 제6항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  16. 제7항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  17. 제8항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  18. 제9항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
  19. 폴리비닐 아세테이트를 알코올과 함께 비누화시킴으로써 알코올 팽윤된 폴리비닐 알코올 입자들을 수득하고, 그 폴리비닐 알코올 입자들을 건조시키고 이어서 그 폴리비닐 알코올을 변성시켜서 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올의 제조 방법에 있어서, (a) 팽윤된 폴리비닐 알코올 입자들을 중합성 단량체를 함유하는 일정량의 즉 폴리비닐 알코올 입자들과 슬러리를 형성하지 않으며 폴리비닐 알코올을 용해시키지 않을 정도의 용매와 함께 분무시키는 단계; (b) 팽윤된 폴리비닐 알코올 입자위에 자유라디칼 공급원을 분무시키는 단계; 및 (c) 상기 팽윤된 폴리비닐 알코올 입자들의 온도를 상승시켜서 폴리비닐 알코올과 중합성 단량체간의 반응을 개시하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  20. 제19항의 방법에 의해 변성된 폴리비닐 알코올.
