Abstract

본 발명은 디지틀 영상 부호화 장치의 양자화기에 관한 것으로, 신호의 밝기에 따른 인간의 시각특성을 이용하여 인트라모드 DC 변환계수를 적응적으로 양자화하는 양자화기에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면 인트라모드 DC 변환계수를 양자함에 있어서 기존의 고정된 양자화기를 사용하지 않고 인간의 시각특성에 따라 인트라모드의 DC 변환계수의 양자호 스텝크기를 결정한다. 따라서 영상신호의 인트라모드 DC 성분을 좀더 정밀하게 양자화할 수 있고, 이것으로 전송화질이 개선된다.

인간의 시각특성을 이용한 디씨(DC) 변환계수 양자화기
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 인간의 시각특성을 설명하기 위한 도면, 제2도는 디지틀 영상 부호화 장치의 블록도, 제3도는 본 발명에 따른 양자화기의 블록도.

Claims (3)

  1. 디지틀 영상 부호화 장치에서, 전송버퍼의 상태 및 영상신호의 복잡도에 따라 결정되는 양자화 스텝크기에 따라서 DCT 변환계수를 양자화하기 위하여 입력되는 DCT 변환계수가 인터모드의 DC 및 AC 계수인 경우, 상기 양자화 스텝크기에 따라 상기 인터모드의 DC 및 AC 계수를 양자화하는 제1수단과; 입력되는 DCT 변환계수가 인트라모드의 AC 계수인 경우, 상기 양자화 스텝크기에 따라서 상기 인트라모드의 AC 계수를 양자화하는 제2수단을 가진 양자화기에 있어서, 입력되는 DCT 변환계수가 인트라모드의 DC 계수인 경우, 소정의 양자화 스탭크기에 따라서 상기 인트라모드의 DC 계수를 양자화하는 DC 계수 양자화수단과; 상기 DC 계수 양자화수단에 접속되며, 상기 DC 변환계수를 입력으로 하여 그 값에 대응하는 양자화 스텝크기를 제공하는 인트라모드의 DC 변환계수 양자화 스텝크기 결정수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양자화기.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 인트라모드의 DC 변환계수 양자화 스텝크기 결정수단 구획단위마다 새로운 DC 변환계수 양자화 스텝크기를 상기 DC 계수 양자화수단으로 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양자화기.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 인트라모드의 DC 변환계수 양자화 스텝크기 결정수단은 거대구획단위마다 새로운 DC 변환계수 양자화 스텝크기를 상기 DC 계수 양자화수단으로 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양자화기.
